The office of the Recorder of Deeds for Franklin County Missouri consists of one (1) elected official who holds the office for a 4 year term. There are eight full and three part-time employees called Deputies who are anxious and ready to help you look up documents in the records stored in our office. Our office has over seventy-four years of experience in the service and support of the Recording needs for Franklin County.

Please remember, however, that we are recorders and not lawyers and we cannot give legal advice. If a legal matter is involved, we recommend that you contact one of the many lawyers who are experts in writing deeds, etc. who may give you advice on the issues involved when transferring property.
